A Nubodys's Success Story!
By Martha Brown

Stan Brehaut joined Parkway Nubody’s in July, 2006, with the goals of getting in shape and improving his diet. To get started, he met with Jason Crouse, Personal Fitness Coach.
With Jason’s help, and with encouragement from Membership Counsellor Ray Griffin, he was able to endure the first two months of making fitness a habit.  Now, he finds the club is his comfort zone.  Stan attributes this to “a team of people who really care about you, a clean facility and comfortable environment.” Now that Stan has made fitness a part of his lifestyle, it’s easy for him to come in for his work-outs.

He says Nubody’s has helped him achieve his goals. At 45 years of age, he now has more energy than ever and he’s always on the go.  Along with Stan’s health improvement, his physical appearance has changed so much that colleagues don’t recognize him from his employee ID card. They always want to know his secret.  When Stan explains that it’s not a secret pill, but rather an active lifestyle, he inspires others to become active. He has referred three co-workers to join Nubody’s, as well as his wife and mother!  Stan works 12-hour shifts for Irving as a dispatcher where he sits all day.  He credits his company for encouraging employees to exercise by subsidizing their exercise program at Nubody’s.

While Stan has made dramatic changes to his physique and eating habits, he says it’s not the weight loss that is important – it is what’s going on inside you:  “You feel better mentally and can be more productive when you enjoy improved health,” he says.

Stan believes that if he can make and maintain a positive lifestyle change, anyone can.
